The History of GSE Middle East FZE

 

In the year 2000 the German engineer Karlheinz Lerch decided to open a company for steelwork and construction supplies in Ras al Khaimah City. The name of this company was “Al Alemani”. He focused on government needs and developed specialized metalwork. The company started small and was growing fast.

In 2002 his son Christian Lerch joined into the family business. GSE extended their warehouses until the maximum was reached in this area.

​

They did special orders in UAE and all over the world. Inspired by the demand from Europe, they planed to open a branch in the area around Frankfurt/Germany.

​

Also the local business in UAE became more and more, being a partner of large companies. A special order for government vehicles came in and they engineered armored and ambulances vehicles.

​

After accomplished a lot of vehicles, they did frame work on the Burj Khalifa lightshow. All the frames for the famous light show were engineered and finally constructed inhouse.

​

In the year of 2010 they moved to the Ras Al Khaimah Free zone, where a lot of the customers established their companies. Short ways and multiple projects were the reason for this. The company became more slim and flexible.

​

Here they changed the name into “GSE Middle East”.

​

Recession took place in UAE like everywhere in the world. The plan for the branch in Germany came closer.

In 2012 they opened the new branch in Gelnhausen / Germany. Christian Lerch moved to Germany and became the CEO over there. His highly trained knowledge was very welcome over there and orders were flooding in.

In UAE they changed their field of business into providing solutions for new projects and delivering the know how for this. Special operations on Autodrome Dubai, Tennis stadium cladding with  twisted aluminum frames, the Open Air Stadium in Abu Dhabi etc.

​

Numerous other projects came up. The steelwork was not the number one  field anymore. Special effects compaired with good craftmansship became the most innovating field in which they were operating.

GSE started their contacts with some companies in Europe to distribute technical supplies in the GCC states.

In 2020 they finalized the cooperation with the leading manufacturer for pipeline and marker supplies from Germany – “Kettner Group”.

​

GSE  Middle East is now the sole representative of the Kettner Group for the GCC states.

​

Kettner Group has also a long history for their products. Kettner started in 1913 and became the number one in the market. Still owned as a family business. Inhouse production and always the full attention on the market.

​

They focus on special logistic to serve the customers needs in price, quality and reliability in the terms of delivery. Special orders are not unknown and welcome.
